Chanel 4028 C.127/72 Silver Shield Sunglasses

Vintage Chanel 4028 C.127/72 shield sunglasses featuring a futuristic silver-tone metal frame combined with a single-piece pale blue-grey shield lens. The sculptural wraparound silhouette follows the streamlined, sporty eyewear aesthetic associated with Chanel's early-2000s designs, creating a distinctive Y2K profile.

The oversized shield lens is partially surrounded by a thin polished silver-tone metal structure, with an undulating upper frame and curved lower sections that follow the shape of the lens. Small exposed metal fastenings secure the lens to the frame, emphasizing the technical construction of the design.

Finished with slim black temples, contrasting white CHANEL lettering and small engraved interlocking CC logos at the hinges. Additional Chanel detailing appears throughout, including subtle © CHANEL branding on the upper lens, CC logos on the nose pads and small gold-tone CC medallions inset into the temple tips.

Original interior markings read “4028 C.127/72 120”, alongside Chanel branding, production code and Made in Italy markings.

Condition: Rated 7.5/10. Pre-owned vintage condition and overall well preserved. The frame, temples and hardware remain in good condition, showing only minor signs of previous wear and very light surface scratches consistent with age. The lenses are also well preserved overall with some light surface marks visible mainly under direct light. There is a cracked area on the upper central section of the shield lens (“unibrow” area), as shown in the images. Original Chanel branding, CC details and hardware remain intact.
