DSQUARED2 Spring/Summer 2016 beige distressed halter vest featuring a distinctive hybrid construction that combines tailored cotton fabric with an open-knit mesh racerback. Designed by Dean and Dan Caten, the piece reflects the label's approach to experimental tailoring, utilitarian details, and unconventional silhouettes.
The vest features a deep plunging V-neckline, five-button front closure, and two oversized asymmetric flap pockets with metal eyelet detailing. The beige cotton exterior incorporates intentional distressed patches and frayed detailing, creating a worn-in finish. Adjustable side tabs and dark brown leather drawstrings with toggle ends add functional elements to the design.
The standout feature is the contrasting ivory open-knit racerback, which extends from the shoulders to the lower back, creating an unexpected combination of structured tailoring and sportswear-inspired construction. The cropped, fitted silhouette and exposed back give the piece a distinctive contemporary look.
